Farewell...Solar Daybreak

I remember It was October 1st of 2012 when Solar Daybreak first seen on-air.
Immediately after that, my usual schedule has been changed.

I came to know Solar News Channel, formerly Solar TV on the 2nd day of July 2012.During that time, I had a weekday work schedule set at 7 in the morning 'til 5 in the afternoon.

A week before the pilot episode of the program the show was offered to me.
Though I know I was never a first choice...I strongly agreed and took the challenge.

My struggle first began rising to bed early.
Honestly speaking, I was not a morning person.
I usually sleep 11 or 12 midnight.
At the time it was very hard for me to send myself to sleep.
And even more harder to go up to bed 2-hours pass.
I spent an hour to fix myself, and a few more hour on my way going to the office.
I even had fear of going to work before. Simply because, I never knew how it was.
But I have to conquer it, because I was chosen to handle a new responsibility.

It was also not easy for me to gain the trust of my former producer in the program.
I remember when we had several mistakes seen on-air, the blame was all course to me.
Imagine, I was questioned in-front of our host, manager, and almost all of the staffs of the show.
But that particular situation gave me strength to lead and always choose to decide what's best for the program.

It was not just a simple day to day graphics coordination.
If anyone from the staff can't go to work or will be late...
I have to come up with the best solution.
Anything that will disrupt the smooth flow of the program, it has to be resolve before it even came to reality.

If there are any on-air discrepancy, furnishing a report copy is still part of my responsibility.
Task distribution and even staff attitude solving and counseling is still entrusted on me.

I never worked for the program for days only.
It was EIGHT long months.

There's a part of me that was not ready to go. And I strongly believe that... it was my LOVE for the program.

But since change is inevitable I have to go with the flow.
On my end...I will always look at things as a challenge.

I never wanted to get so emotional.
As much as possible, I never wanted to show it.
But this is what I have to say...I will just think that I will be embarking on a new mission.
I consider this journey as another opportunity to grow more and learn new things as well.

I will surely miss most of the staffs I have worked with.
Goodbye for now...'till our path cross again.

A wild guess to win it

A sample five hundred peso bill

Yesterday, while I was riding on a bus going home,  there was an announcement made by a one woman passenger. She was holding a five hundred peso bill that she accidentally spotted where she was seated.

A woman was in-search of the real owner of the money. But she will only be pleased to return it only if...that person will reveal the exact serial numbers embedded on it.

And that was very absurd.

I mean where in the world you will find a person like that?

If I happen to be a bearer of it and so unfortunate losing my five hundred peso bill...I will definitely lose all the chances of having it back.

Because the only reason I know and is valid is that...normal people don't think that way.

I am but a girl now

In the picture is our daughter Kirsten Althea Garabot
Four years ago, I became a father when my wife gave birth to a beautiful girl we named...Kirsten Althea Garabot
Right then and there, my priorities in life changes and the path that I have to take has become clearer.
Everyday Althea, surprises us of things she's capable of doing.
And tonight, both of us were amazed my wife Mary Anne Garabot and I, when she finally showed us that she can change her dress and fix herself.
I just uttered..."WOW, ang galing naman!"
But the way she reacted even get me realized that she's not a baby anymore.
She said..."E siyempre Papa malaki na 'ko."

The RCS reunion

I believe it was a month or two when I asked one of my former student in Roosevelt College for a get-together. At first, it was postponed. It was friday morning when I came to see a pop-up message informing me that we will push thru that day.
I was glad to see some of my students after 4 long years.
We all had little chats, hellos, and most of all a time spent to keep the memory alive by taking our photo souvenirs as a remembrance forever.
We are also calling some of my former students in Roosevelt, Cainta Rizal to join us next time.
And together let us reminisce the past and have a brighter look at our future.

The coolest way to spot stuffs you want

At home while doing the blog
It is a common thing for all of us that we consider a price of an item we wanted to purchase.
But I'd like to reiterate that more and more people nowadays are very conscious not only on the talk about affordability but  more importantly in its quality.

Allow me to relate a classic commercial of a certain brand of detergent bar named..."Surf".
This particular brand is strongly giving an emphasis on "Sing linis pero 'di Sing mahal".
The said commercial targeted the very core of many Filipinos in their attitude when it comes to buying
things.

Please see YouTube link for better understanding: http://youtu.be/5xOXAZPuiBU

Recently, I discovered a particular website on the net that specifically caters people whom looking for
an affordable stuffs and it leave a slogan which says...
"Post.Usap.Deal."

I am then referring now to a popular site known by many as The Philippines' #1 Classified Ads Website...Sulit.com.

Please see link: http://www.sulit.com.ph

The reason why I ended up using the popular free Ad website was because I was currently scouting
a kid's bike with a sidecar for my 4-year old daughter Kirsten Althea Garabot.

Want to know more about Kirsten Althea Garabot? Visit her facebook account at: www.facebook.com and key in... altheagarabot@gmail.com

Right then and there, I tried visiting the website and key in the words I am in search for...in a tagalog instruction which says...Ano hanap mo? Which translates...What are you searching for?

Upon typing, several possible stuffs came out. From there, I started looking out for the best item that best suits my taste and interest.

Then you will be directed to fill-out information like your complete name, e-mail address, and your contact number.
A day after, I got a text asking If I am interested.
I simply said yes and we both agreed to meet on a certain location.

What I had may not be a brand new stuff, but just imagine how it made my daughter happy upon seeing her long waited dream...came true.

A Naughty Lady

The next thing I heard was she was commanding the driver to stop.
But she was aiming to fall and lean at the direction where I was seated.

The clock is ticking I have to rush it's already 3 in the morning.
I immediately grab the gate key and walked my way out of the house.
After a few minutes, I have seen a jeepney with a Monumento signage, I took a ride.
Along the way, there were group of ladies came in.
The three ladies seated facing me, and half of it have were beside me.
I started to feel uncomfortable when one of them intentionally lean on me.
Just imagine, the scene was like we were very close and known each other for quiet so long.
I moved an inches away from her.
The next thing I heard was she was commanding the driver to stop.
But she was aiming to fall and lean at the direction where I was seated.
In-short, she wanted to take advantage of the situation.
It was the very first time I have seen myself in an awkward situation like of that.
Meaning, I am completely puzzled on how I will confront the scenario.
I didn't say anything.
After a while, the ladies started to talked about other things.
A few minutes after, they commanded the driver to stop.
I don't know, again the lady beside me acted as if she will fall.
And before she completely leave the jeep, it's like she wanted to pinch me on my chick.
She smiled giggling, and waved goodbye.
And even from a far, she was waving at me.
To lighten up the situation, I just smiled at her.

Our Precious

When I came home today, my daughter Althea, gave me a very warm welcome...my lips was sealed
with her kiss.
I had a dialogue with her..."How did you keep yourself busy today?", I uttered.
I was surprise she replied..."What took you so long Papa? We never had the chance to go out and play today with my bike."
I pause for a while to think for a better answer.
I simply said..."It was traffic".
I believe Althea is not happy with what I said.
To divert her attention, I presented her a gift.
And right then and there...her face brightens.
She was very happy to have it.
That made me feel the same thing.
I think she's hungry for she asked for a sandwich spread with her favorite Nutella.
And also added a stick-o to satisfy her cravings.
After a while, while watching her movie on her DVD player...she asked me to prepare her milk.
I might be tired but never think twice granting her request.
She was so calm and restless.
I start to wonder why I am not hearing anything from her.
I walked on her way and found out that she was at sleep.
