PistaGenio 2: A Play Feast

We've been aware and it is most common to us to enjoy a narrative by watching and coming into the theater alone or accompanied by family members, friends, or loved ones.
For some enjoyed reading narratives of their favorite novel and book authors, while some chose to stay conveniently at home cry, laugh and feel a mixed of emotions as soon as they're eyes were glued on their TV home screens.
But have you ever watch a play, like seeing it live happening?
Are you interested in seeing one?
I believe I am getting a bold YES here from the readers.

I remember watching a play entitled "Rak of Aegis" at the PETA theater center sometime in 2014th of October and that was a very...LONG TIME AGO! 🤔
I still have all the HAPPY and BEAUTIFUL memories watching the play and I and my family ENJOYED most importantly the way how they chose to do the narrative, a sure hit by having it all done through a musical play.

After a half decade, I wouldn't know that I will be seeing more of these and be part of it.
I'm not saying I will be acting here, no. That's a very wrong interpretation.
I for one are among one of the many Media Exhibit Class Advisers handling this particular subject which will require all sections of Grade 12, Service, Meritocracy, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence to produce a play and showcase them just before the semester ends or prior to their graduation day.

To much of my excitement the 5 sections of Grade 12 produces also 5 EXCITING, all ORIGINAL play narratives that will run for an hour.
The first 45 minutes will be allotted to the showing of the whole play, while the remaining 15 minutes goes to the "Ingress and Egress."

Among the 2019 entries for PistaGenio 2 were the following...

Bukang Liwayway (Grade 12, Service)

Sa Pusod Ng Dagat May Nawawala (Grade 12, Meritocracy)

Huling Sayaw Sa Cubao (Grade 12, Teamwork)

Malamaya (Grade 12, Integrity) AND,

Bakit Bawal Tumawa? (Grade 12, Excellence).

Prior to their culminating date of showing the Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Senior High School, gave all the students to show all their respective plays as "test plays" a week just before their final presentations.

It all began on the 26th of February and lasted until the 2nd day of March 2019, plus additional rehearsal on the 6th of March at the ABS-CBN, Channel 2, Dolphy theater.

Prof. Mond Sakiwat, (Media Exhibit Class Adviser of the Grade 12, Service) mentioned after the show that most of the songs that was used for the play were all ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS and that only a small percentage were borrowed from other artists specifically at the beginning of the play and were only used to relate to the story.
The first in the row that was witnessed by students, parents, We at the academe and other interested spectators who have seen it.

Is laughter nothing more than a worthless expression? Niño is a 17 year old living in Barangay Masayahin, country of Maharlika where a law prohibiting laughter has just been passed. The story revolves around the community's fight against silence and the discovery that laughter is more than just a joking matter. The only question is, will you still be able to laugh if the cost is your life?
