How Lalamove, Moved Me!

Doing business is something that really requires hardwork.
From buying  ingredients, preparing the mixtures ready for baking, putting them on the oven, up to totally waits until everything is baked already!
But wait there's more, there's another leg work that should be taken seriously and that is the...delivery part.
Before, our practice @letstalkaboutsweets
"We value taste and design" is to handle the delivery by ourselves.
But I think it's a primitive practice nowadays because there are so many trusted freight and cargo deliveries today.
And the good news is one of them is Lalamove!

It was just this very month, December that I started downloading the App.
We have a delivery situation located in Mandaluyong.
I started booking 22nd of December at noon.
Right then and there upon looking for a motorcycle, I received one call from the courier.

I was told about his location somewhere in the 10th Avenue in Caloocan, while I was booking from Navotas.
Though, the courier has a problem locating my destination, cited a reason that it was his first time going to the city.
He was so polite. The very reason, I extended my patience.
The courier got lost at the moment because he said he went to a shortcut but couldn't answer where he was exactly.
I think it took us almost an hour before he found my exact location.
What he did was called me via his earphone and started giving him exact location and some famous landmarks.
I think about an hour or less, the courier texted me that he was able to deliver the baked items on the location I gave him.
Plus a friend whom I sent the items, also confirmed that it was successfully received and delivered.

Since I and my wife were very delighted with the outcome...a few days after, 28th of December we booked for Lala Move again.

Courier
This time, our location was just somewhere in Quezon City, along with a famous church landmark.

The only changes that I noticed was the courier do not call me. But I monitored his location it's moving and I can also track the estimated number of minutes about his whereabouts.

This time, our client, who was a also a friend of mine ordered for our 10 pcs of Banana Loaves.

After an hour, I personally checked from a friend if it was delivered on her, she said it was successfully received.
Though, I am expecting a text coming from a courier...which he promised to do, I just looked for ways how to confirm it.

The other problem I have seen was booking at the desired location where I was with.
Since, it couldn't trace me. I just resolved this by looking at a very near and familiar landmark.
I just exerted an effort to really went out my way, about 1 block in order for the courier to locate me.

But the whole service was very dependable. After our two transactions, we called for Lala Move again.

Lalamove is a Hong Kong based freight and cargo delivery that started operating in the Philippines, 1st of November 2016.

Surprised also with other services they're providing right now.

17th of December 2019, Tuesday
"Whatever it is that you want to do...do not hesitate to do it.
If you have a doubt within yourself, do not make this strong more than your will".

One good perspective I've learned recently in the 2nd NavoteƱo Photo Competition and Exhibition, a photo contest that was open for all amateur photographers who currently resides in Navotas City.

For some who looked at the said competition as a very easy one, no its not true for it comprises so many elements to be even trimmed and being one of the many aspirants who wanted to showcase their photo entries.

For this year's theme concentrated on a vow to end violence against Women.

While the very first one came up with
#NavoTaAsNooBabae: Karapatan ng mga Kababaihan Ipaglaban which was held 21st to 22nd of June 2018 at the Navotas Sports Complex. At the time, it was our Hon. John Rey Tiangco was the city Mayor.

The past and the current contest did not prevented me from joining and supported two different advocacies.

THE IDEA BEHIND THE FEATURED PHOTO ENTRY

I came about pushing for the idea to join the competition 3 days before the said deadline not knowing that it was open since 1st of January.
The 4th of December I remembered I was literally walking from Daanghari, Navotas all the way to Tangos.
The approached I did was to look for a subject by roving around. I strongly believed in the power of observation.
But that night, I ended up thinking of other possible subject.
From thinking, I realized why not feature a woman Barangay Tanod who also lives at the same street.

The same night, I went out around 10:00 in the evening and approached my chosen subject clearly.
I waited for her for an hour because apparently she was performing her duty that very nigth.
And from meeting Nora Manalastas, 49, I began asking questions and introduced what was my intention.
The same visit after throwing questions, I began shooting her with co-workers in the barangay. I was offered a ride on her way home using her service motor bike.
And before sending her home, I took photos again of her.
At home, I showed this to my wife and my kids. I personally do not felt anything extravagant for the photos taken.
So, the following day, just before the deadline, I asked for a shoot again.
The problem I had with the first night photos I did was the bad lighting.
I was not using a DLSR camera, just my mobile phone.

From there, I learned. I brought a light that I was using to sell merienda in our mini-store back home. This time, we were shooting inside the Barangay Daanghari, Barangay Hall.
We turned off all the lights inside and played with black, white, and other colors present. After, 4 attempts I said...I got what I wanted.

Taking a very strong hold on the concept of a woman who's literally safeguarding and maintains the peacekeeping in the said Barangay.
