”A day without a
laughter, is a day wasted.”
-Charles ‘Charlie’
Chaplin
It was then again a regular routine at work, Friday and
an hour or so my duty at the office will soon to end. I feel so tired and
sleepy as well, one big factor brought about this feeling is because of the
insufficient sleep I got before the week ends.
As usual I came to think that it would end that way until...I
had a beautiful conversation with a one of my co-worker.
It all started with a greeting why I was alone having
lunch. Until she started to recall about a hurtful love story she had with a
person she’s suppose to exchange vow with. Unluckily, it didn’t have a happy
ending because her fiancee' accidentally had a one night stand with another woman and what's worst was making her pregnant. Tsk tsk tsk.
As I began thinking that she narrated everything to me, I
was surprised that she has more interesting story to tell.
Now, she began telling me a story about her husband and
how do they argue everytime they have differences.
One very interesting highlight was when she fails to
answer a call from her husband who wanted to get an immediate response on her whereabouts.
She said her husband releases his uncontrollable temper
with their appliances like of their electric fan. There even came to a point that even their
refrigerator if given extra-strength…will be thrown away.
And this gave me a cue to laugh.
“My husband kept on throwing our fan…but after that he
keeps on fixing them. To good that it was standard (mentioning a specific brand
of fan).” She said.
And at this time, I was laughing continuously, never
notice myself that I was beginning to cry for her serious story that was now
seem to be a joke for me.
And wait there’s more…she even cited a story of her ‘Sony
Ericsson’ mobile phone that was also a number of times a victim of their
argument.
She mentioned that because of that particular incident she has proven that this was among the strongest phone at their tough times.
There was also a number of times that it was seen flying
at the corner of their house. But despite of this she reiterated…her CP still
functions well.
At this point, I felt that my jaw hurts.
I exerted much effort not to laugh, but then I found
myself giggle as loud as I can.
And one particular quote from a famous comedian Charles ‘Charlie’
Chaplin reminded me that…”A day without a laughter, is a day wasted.”
Which leads me to popular quote that I never failed to
hear…”Laughter is the best medicine”.
And I believe it will always be.
